Who we are

What information we collect

• • Your name, email address and (if provided) your phone number
• • Your town or postcode, so we can confirm we cover your area
• • The message you send us about driving lessons
• • If you become a pupil: lesson dates, progress notes, payment records and your driving licence number where required

We do not collect special category data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• • Replying to your enquiry — consent, which you give by ticking the box on the enquiry form. You can withdraw it at any time.
• • Arranging and delivering lessons — performance of a contract with you.
• • Keeping payment and tax records — legal obligation.

We never sell your details, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking you separately.

Who sees your information

Enquiries sent through this website are emailed directly to info@skippersdrivingschool.co.uk and are handled by Manfred only. Your details may be processed by our website hosting and email providers purely to deliver that message. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to lessons are deleted once the enquiry is closed, and within 12 months at the latest. Pupil records are kept for the duration of your tuition and then for up to six years where financial records must be retained for tax purposes.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. We store a single item in your browser's local storage to remember that you have seen the cookie notice, so it isn't shown again. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@skippersdrivingschool.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
